The TBR Scavenger Hunt Reading Challenge (2025)

The TBR Scavenger Hunt is a reading challenge I created to help us clear our TBRs. The challenge includes 24 prompts that are specific enough to be a bit of a challenge (it is a reading challenge after all) but simple enough that you should be able to find books that fit the prompts from your TBR pretty easily.

Here are the prompts:

• An author’s debut

• Features a snowstorm

• Has a red or pink cover

• A book with found family

• A translated novel

• From your favorite genre

• Been on your TBR the longest

• Is known for a plot twist

• Has culinary themes

• A new release

• Takes place in a big city

• Over 300 pages

• Takes place on vacation

• Has water on the cover

• Has a three-word title

• Longest book on your TBR

• Takes place in the fall

• A banned book

• A horror or thriller

• Author you’ve read before

• By a local author

• Has a family theme

• Has candles on the cover

• Set in winter
